Doctoral Degree
The Doctoral degrees offered by AIT are the Doctor of Engineering, Doctor of Technical Science, and Doctor of Philosophy, all without further designation. Their abbreviations are D.Eng., D.Tech.Sc. and Ph.D., respectively.

Duration: A Doctoral Program covers six (6) semesters or a minimum of three (3) years.

Eligibility Requirements: Master degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, communications, telecommunications, electrical engineering, electronics, applied mathematics/statistics and information systems. See at the Admissions and Scholarships Office for minimum eligibility requirements.

Master’s Degree
The degrees of Master offered by AIT are the degrees of Master of Engineering, Master of Science. Their abbreviations are M.Eng. M.Sc..

Duration: A master’s program is completed in four (4) semesters plus one (1) long break (equivalent to a total of 21.4 months). Some advanced students may complete the requirements of the degree right after the third semester with the consent of his/her Advisor and Program Committee.

Eligibility Requirements:  Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, communications, telecommunications, electrical engineering, electronics, applied mathematics/statistics and information systems. Diploma
The program offering advanced training on defined topics is the Diploma of the Asian Institute of Technology (Dip.AIT). See at the Admissions and Scholarships Office for minimum eligibility requirements.

Certificate
A Certificate is intended mainly for students requiring relatively brief periods of education in specific areas. A Certificate student attends a minimum of nine credits of coursework (one semester). Students normally enroll for a Certificate as a trial program in pursuing a master’s degree later on. See at the Admissions and Scholarships Office for minimum eligibility requirements.
